Barbara is a Speech and Language Therapist. Since qualifying in 1978 from Leicester Barbara has accumulated over 25 years of experience as a practising Speech and Language Therapist.

In that time Barbara has worked both in the NHS and the Independent Sector, predominantly with children displaying a variety of specific speech and language disorders and including those with a physical handicap and autism.

Barbara is currently working in a variety of community clinics in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and is primarily responsible for the speech and language assessment of children from 6 - 16 years who are being evaluated for a possible autistic spectrum disorder.

Barbara is also an Elklan tutor and has jointly run a number of courses in Gateshead.
